My friend dyed her hair blonde and some people are calling her a "fake blonde" yet nobody ever calls a blonde girl who dyes her hair brown a "fake brunette."

In our society people hold blondes on a higher , prettier, pedestal and if a brunette wanted to be a blonde they would think they are just trying to hard to be liked or to fit in more and would still consider them a brunette.

I think it is because blonde is a little more rare and brunette more common... also i think people MAY be thinking that blondes are supposed to be "dumb" which isnt true but if they are thinking that, they may be making fun of her for trying to be "dumb"... which i dont agree with but thats how some people are... also, if they are girls saying that, they are definetely jealous, but if they are boys, they are just flirting... so shes fine and im sure it looks great... but thats a great question!

I think it's because they think that the brunette is just trying to have more fun.And the reason the blondes that dye there her don't get picked on about it,is that when people see that they're really a blonde they think "oh a stupid blonde, blondes are always hot even if they dye they're her.

I don't personally want to dye my brunette hair blond, but I like highlights. I think it is prettier than just one color bottle blond. But I won't make fun of someone who chose to go with one color.

thats pretty funny actually.... i think that people should be able to die there hair whatever color they want. As long as they look good and they have confidence... it shouldnt matter... i mean.. really.. i never understood the whole "dumb blond" and "brilliant brunnette" thing anyway. people are ignorant and dumb all together... hair color shouldnt matter. =]
