I died my hair yesterday with 'LIVE absolute platinum' and some bits are the white blonde colour i wanted but it looks quite orange. should i dye it again to get it fully blonde? i left it on for the maximum 45 minutes.

Do you have a nearby Sally's Beauty Supply? Or a store where they sell professional hair products which is open to the public...Sally's has a GREAT product...it comes in a blue like package (you have to buy developer, since you've already lightened your hair you should probably only use a 20), and it gets blonde!! Even jet black hair will be taken down to a golden blonde.

P.S. I am a current cosmetology student...and I color my hair all the time. (Previously, I found out the hard way..trial and error, but now I know.) And if all else fails, you really do need to consult a professional because you could potentially damage your scalp and/or hair follicles.

dye it a light brow color then ull have to try to go light again...but dont bleach it, use a really light blonde(but ull have to do it like 2 times in order to get it blonde blonde)

You could dye your hair again, and you would get the desired hair colour but unfortunatley this will damage your hair quite alot.

I would advise before you try this method to use a blonde shampoo, pantene pro-v blonde shampoo and conditioners are good. My friends hair was dyed so many times her hair went green, it was supposed to be blonde and after using a blonde lightening shampoo it lightened her hair and took away the awful tinge of green.

This is a far less harsh way to lighten it and I recommend you try this method before attempting to bleach your hair again.

contrary to what has been said here, green color will not cancel the orange tones in your hair. you need to use something that has a blue base to get yourself a neutral dark blond. don't try to lighten your hair again or it could be damaged...

Don't bleach it again.. if you left it on the maximum 45 minute's then all the red in your hair that was meant to come out will have come out. You don't need to remove any more colour, you need to put back IN some colour. The reason it's gone orange is because your hair naturally had a lot of red tone's in it, or if you put peroxide on top of another dye then the colour underneath would have been a warm colouring

Ask your hairdresser to put a toner on it... this will tone down all the orange and get it the pale platinum colour you wanted by depositing a small amount of purple or green tone's, depending on whether you want to get rid of the yellow or the red, it sound's strange but it will counter-act the orange, and even it out. Alternatively you could buy you're own toner but it's probably easier to just go to a hairdresser

Use nice and easy light ash blond. the ash tones will remove the the yellow tones and make it look more natural. When you need to touch the roots up just use the colour and not the bleach as the roots are close to the scalp and therefore warmer which will make it lift easier.
