i have light, highlighted brown hair which is very light but natural looking. i want to go lighter so im thinking of dying my hair blonde, thing is is i know loads of people who've done this and ended up looking like yellow lightbulbs. how can i stop this from happening and is there any products you can suggest?

Do what I do, spray it with water with a little lemon juice...let the sun do the rest.

I would definitely advise you to go to a professional beauty salon to do this. At least I would if I were you - I take my hair very seriously and wouldn't want to risk it! Also the lighter you go, the more damaging it is for your hair.

to save possible problems, go to a stylist and have them make some recommendations. If you do it at home, you might spend more money trying to get it fixed. Plus, no one can tell you what product to use unless they see your hair color firsthand.

dont do it my friend it dries your hair out %26amp; ends up looking like straw, 'worzel gummidge' like, please leave your hair as it is, it sounds fine

Nice and Easy is your best bet. very good product, with good lasting colour. Do a patch test first of course. Highly recommended by moi.baby blonde might be a suitable shade for you.

Get some highlights weaved into your hair then if it is too bright have the stylist put a Redkin shades color gloss all over your hair to tone it down, add shine, and it will make it way more natural looking.

if in any doubt go to have it done at a hairdressers, but if you do want to do it youself, then I suggest going to a shop and take your time in looking at the colours on the boxes and read the instructions on the packet and choose which is best for you, because what may be wow to you might seem ok to others. But I would suggest to you to stay away from the ones with high peroxide as these may make your hair go funny as yours is already highlighted

I would pay the extra money to see a hair stylist if you are wanting to go lighter. My sister in law gets rich off of people that try to go lighter and end up with the wrong results. Then they come into her hair salon and she repairs their color.
