How can i turn my accidently bleached blonde (it was supposed to be hightlights) hair to a dark brow

Yesterday for the first time i tried using a cap highlighting kit to highlight my hair. ( i am used to the paint on kits) Followed the directions for an all over highlight look, and it really did turn out ALL OVER!!! almost all of my hair on the first top layers got bleached and i didnt realize this would happen because i couldnt tell how much hair was underneith the cap. Now im left with what looks like a terrible attempt to bleach my hair blonde. since it was supposed to be highlights i left an inch of my natural color at my roots so it looks like my hair is grown out. I would like to know if somone knows how i can turn my hair to a more natural looking color ( i would prefer dark brown) or how i can at least make my hair look good instead of messy. if this would help my natural hair was light brown.

you can put dark brown straight over it but you need something that has a red in it so go for a chestnut colour although it will fade realy quickly you will need to do it again but you have to have the chestnut colour in again after a while the red tones will fade away then you can just put the dark brown on , if you put the dark brown straight onto your blonde you have a chance the brown will react to your blonde and you will get green tones throw your hair this is why you need a chesnut colour the red in this will stop any green tones ,

NO!! go see a colourist at a salon preferably a decent one. If you do any colouring too soon after a bleach you can have big problems. Plus most at home colours say not suitable for bleached hair

well, first u must start over by coloring ur hair back to the brown u want, leaving out the pieces u still want blonde, then get a toner(a shade of blonde that is used for highlighting) and then apply it to u the pieces u left out. good luck. if u're in nj feel free to contact me, i'm a cosmetologist.

Sorry to say this, but the only way to undo a bleaching disaster is to go to a hairdressers and have it done professionally. If you try to do it yourself, the chances are that any dark colour applied to bleached hair will turn orange or even pink (eek!) It's an expensive thing to get done, (in the uk around 鎷?0), but will avoid the risk of spending the next 4 months growing out frizzled, punk-coloured hair!

Just color over it. The dark color will fade after a few washings because you bleached your hair before. I used to use the caps and hated them because the bleach would ooze all underneath it and give me these huge blonde spots. After you color over it, don't wash your hair for about 48 hours to make sure the color sets.

Depends on what color you want your hair to look like when you are done. Best bet is to go to a good salon, to a stylist that has been recommended to you for color. Unfortunately you can't just put brown on your hair. Also will depend on your hair's condition, what you used, and what you use for at home care on your hair. Then again if you want your hair to turn green go for it. Too bad it is not a pretty green. Drugstore colors are not designed for color correction.

firstly u need to tone ur hair dwn, u cud put a golen or copper color on it and watch it like a hawk, it may b done in either ten mins or 20mins dependin on how blonde its actually gon. jus cover the hair u hav lightened, wen its toned, rinse it and giv it 1 shampoo, no conditioner, den get sumtin like a medium golden light brown, avoid anything ash, red, copper or chestnut as dese may all leve u worse off. wen uve piked a desired color, apply it on the hair u hav toned first, den finally to ur roote. leve it for half hour, den rinse, shampoo, and condition. it may seem darker den wanted for the first few washes, it will even itself out.

You need to pre pigment your hair again. You have stripped all of the natural colour out.You will need to get a red colour to put all over your hair.Once that has taken rinse it out, leave your hair wet and apply a light brown on top of this.Light brown is pretty dark, plus you don't want to stray too much from your natural colour. You should maybe buy two packets of the brown colour to make sure every bit of your hair is covered!

The reason you need to put the red in your hair first is because if you put brown straight over the blonde you will get a greeny hue from your hair which will get worse as the brown fades.

If you would like to have the highlights in after this I would suggest going to the hairdressers to have it done. This way they can see exactly how much hair and can determine the colour of blonde you would like.

thet blone is there untill it grows ou,t go to the hair dressers and get it put right ,some browns can't be put on blond otherwise they go green, i think they have to have red in them still even if you have to borough the money get it sorted the right way or you could end up bald,,,,,, good luch

I've done exactly the same thing several times! No, I still haven't learned my lesson. However, by pure accident, I found that L'Oreals Castings Vanilla Blonde wash in colour comes out a mid to dark brown if you put it over the top of a blonde nightmare. It lightens a little after the first wash but it blends to your own tones too so you end up with pretty good highlights. Ive actually overbleached and then used castings deliberatly cos it works and looks good. its only 鎷?.00 a box. Use two if your hair is shoulder length or more. Leave on for 40 minutes (not 10 as it says on the box) it'll be ok I promise.
